THE SACRED BIRMANS COLOURS

The sacred birman is a colourpoint cat. The colour is only on the points, i.e. on the mask, ears, legs, tail and genitals.

SEAL POINT (SBI N)

The seal point is the original colour of the birmans. Points are dark seal (black) brown

The blue point is the diluted of the seal point. Points are blue-grey

The chocolate point have milk-chocolate points with a very pale body colour, almost ivory.

The lilac point is the diluted of the chocolate point. Points are glacial frosty grey with a slight pinkish tone

The red point has bright warm orange points. The nose is pink.

The cream is the diluted of the red point. Points are pastel cream

THE TORTIES

Tortie means that the colour patched and/or mingled with red/cream. The tortie patches are clear and distinct. A red/cream blaze on the face is desirable. Torties can be only females..

The lilac tortie point is the diluted of chocolate tortie point. Points are glacial grey with a slight pinkish tone and pale cream patched and/or mingled

THE TABBY

All the colours can also be in tabby, i.e. they have stripes. The mask must be clearly tabby marked, especiallu around the eyes and the nose. The cheeks have distinct stripes and the whisker pads are spotted. The ears are unmarked, but have a thumb print. The legs have bars of varying lengths. The back of the hind feet is solid coloured. The tail evenly ringled and ends in a solid coloured up.
